4 Simple Masks for Shiny Hair

1. Warm peach kernel oil 50° C. Damp a piece of gauze in the oil and cover your hair with it, then put on a shower cap. Leave it on your hair for an hour then wash your hair thoroughly.  

2. If you have dry hair you, should rub warm olive oil into the scalp and wrap your head in bath towel. Keep it on your hair for 2 hours. Then wash your hair thoroughly using shampoo for oily hair. 
3. If you want your hair look shiny, you should make special nourishing and thermal procedures during a month.  Mix 1 yolk with 1 tablespoon of castor oil and add ¼ glass of hot water. Mix it again to obtain a dense viscous paste. Apply this mixture to your hair making massaging movements. Then wrap your hair in a bath towel for 2 hours.

4. Mix almond oil, yolk, rye bread (steamed in boiled water), and 3-5 drops of any essential oil. Apply this mixture to your clean and damp hair making massaging movements. Leave this mask on your hair for a few minutes then wash it away with lukewarm water.

Kefir For Your Hair, Skin, and Nails

With all our experiments with various hair dyers, hair lightening, flatirons and hairdryers our hair may look not 100% superb but luckily for you I know what can revive them: kefir! Yes, that’s right; kefir is rich with bioactive substances which improve hair structure and its roots. Which hair mask is best for you depends on the type of your hair. Of all homemade beauty recipes this is one of my favourite:

For dry hair

Mix 3 tablespoons of kefir, 1 teaspoon of castor oil and 1 egg yolk. Apply it to your hair for 30 minutes. You can make this mask once a week.

For oily hair

Warm and filter 1 cup of kefir. Mix the derived whey with burdock root broth in equal proportions. Rub this mixture into the roots of your hair before every washing over the course of three weeks. 
For general strengthening you can apply kefir along the full length of your hair paying special attention to the hair ends. Put on a shower cap and wrap your head with a towel. Leave it like that for 20 minutes. I recommend to wash away this mask with water and lemon juice or vinegar.

Kefir bath is also good for your hands and nails. If you do this simple procedure everyday for 10 minutes, you will get the positive result in 1-2 weeks. The skin on your hands will be smooth and you nails won’t flake.
You can also make a wonderful scrub by mixing kefir with sea salt. I can also recommend a mask for skin whitening: mix a few spoons of grated green tea with kefir and apply it to your face for 15 minutes. This mask enriches your skin with oxygen and nourishes it with bioactive substances.

To make your lips plumper and rosy, tap your day cream for sensitive eyes into your lips every morning. It has to be applied on the red fringe around lips with light massaging movements. But don’t stretch them. 
Vegetable oils (sunflower, olive, castor) are perfect for lip nourishment, especially if you have dry lips. Add a few drops of lemon juice and wipe your lips with that mixture. In 10 minutes blot unabsorbed residue with a napkin. There is a special lip gymnastic which helps to prevent lips from getting thinner with age.
Stretch out your lips and blow forward as though your are trying to put out a candle. Repeat this exercise 30-40 times.
Take a deep breath and puff out your cheeks. Exhale. Alternating slow exhalation with sharp exhalation. Repeat this exercise 15-20 times.
Pronounce sounds “a-e-o-u”. Repeat this exercise 15-20 times.

And try not to purse your lips in a fretful grimace. The basic exercise is a smile.

Make special mask once a week using peaches, bananas, honey, and cream. They improve lip condition and make lip outline look sharper. Besides, they help to prevent peeling. You can use:
Carrot juice with honey;
Banana with warm milk;
Liquid honey with vegetable oil.

Apply one of these masks to your lips for 5-10 minutes and remove it with a cotton ball. Then moisturize your lips with day cream or hygienic lipstick.

Now let’s see how to make your lips plumper using make-up. It’s really easy. Marilyn Monroe who had flat lips used this trick. She managed to charm all the men using 3 shades of red lipstick everyday.  

At first, she applied the medium colour of red lipstick to her lips. Then she made a dot in the centre with the darkest shade of red. In the end she made the outline with the brightest colour.
You can use two kinds of lipstick: apply dark lipstick to the centre of the lips and the bright one to the edges and shade them. If you have only one colour of lipstick in your cosmetic bag, concentrate colour in the center and shade it to the edges so the outline will be paler.

This secret will help you to increase lip volume and make you look sexier. You can use any colour except lipsticks with strong shimmer.

Widely used shimmer lipsticks emphasize all the defects, while light gloss makes them less evident. Strong tan + Shimmer lipstick make your face look harsh and unattractive. 

How To Make Solid Perfumes?

I like this homemade recipe very much because I’m allergic to perfumes (or rather their spirit component). So I think this recipe is a wonderful example of how homemade cosmetic can be even better than the purchased one.

Solid perfumes (also known as cream perfumes) are often called “intimate” because their fragrance can be detected only in short distance. This kind of perfumes is made especially for you, not for somebody else. Why not make simple solid perfumes using only a few types of essential oils. Having learned it once, you will be able to experiment with different combination of essential oils on the basis of solid perfumes.

The basic recipe for solid perfumes:

6 g of beeswax
4 g of jojoba oil
6 drops of ylang-ylang essential oil
2 drops of rosewood essential oil

Melt beeswax and jojoba oil on a bain-marie. Turn off the fire and stir it thoroughly. When the mixture gets a little cooler, add your favourite mix of essential oils or any particular essential oil that you like most. Pour your solid perfumes into any pretty container and enjoy your hand-made perfumes!



How to Loose Weight in the Bathroom

You think it’s unreal? I assure you that you can achieve the desirable parameters without restricting yourself in food or spending hours in the gym.

Fill the bathtub with water. The temperature should be 36-38 degrees Celsius. You can relax there for 20-60 minutes (but make sure the water won’t get cold).

Our bouquet for bathtub includes:

Camomile

A beautiful flower, cymbol of pureness, innocence, femininity, and simplicity. It cleans and whitens skin, heals all the scratchings and cracks. By the way, you can rinse your hair with chamomile decoction. After a few procedures you’d be surprised! Blonds, be aware! Camomile decoction can give your hair  a slightly yellowish shade. But the colour of your face and body will be splendid!

Nettle

Nettle has plenty of useful properties. Don’t be afraid of its burning touch and add it into the bouquet as much as possible.  Extra portion of nettle won’t do any harm.

Tickseed

Tickseed is considered to be a weed. Indeed, it has no place in your garden but in our bathtub it’s very much desirable.

Celandine

Celandine  is great when you need to clean and rejuvenate your skin. Try to add a little bit of Celandine  into your teacup and it will clean your whole body and remove toxins and chemical waste which are the reason of excess weight. But be aware! Celandine is not a noxious plant but still it has some very strong properties. Even doctors use it in oncology treatment. One little leave in your teacup would be enough. But in your bathtub you can put 2-3 twigs.

We also need oregano, black currant, birch, clover (with white and red flowers – we’ll need them both), mint, raspberry, sage, sedge grass, doorweed, arrow-wood twigs and leaves, fir twigs, lungwort.

Now we are going to make a wonder-working decoction out of these plants: put them into an enameled dish, pour it with boiled water and bring it to boil. After that lower the temperature and boil it for 10-15 minutes. Then take it off from the cooker, brew it for 40-50 minutes and filter.

Pour the decoction into the bathtub and flood it with water.

Your skin becomes elastic, resilient and smooth after the first herbal bath.
