Interesting Fact! Did you know that lack of B vitamins can lead to
brittle, listless hair.
Hair lamination is a perfect
solution for those who have thin
hair spoiled with frequent dyeing and high-temperature impact
(hairdryer, curling irons, etc.).
This procedure solves the problem of split
ends and brittle hair. This is especially
useful for those who want to grow their hair long or can’t visit hairdresser regularly. Besides, hair lamination is a good way to keep hair dye from fading.
Lamination creates a protective film around each hair which covers it and
smoothes all the roughness in its structure. This coating makes your hair look healthy, shiny, and adds additional volume. Besides, it protects hair from aggressive influence of the
environment (pollution, ultraviolet
radiation, dry air indoors) and adverse effect of salts in the tap water. The effect
preserves for 3-5 weeks.
After lamination hair becomes more elastic, resilient and shiny. Hair volume increases 10-12%. Hair lamination helps to preserve hair styling even by adverse weather conditions
(thanks to protecting film hair
doesn’t absorb moisture). One more advantage of this procedure is ability to
prolong life of dyed hair–
lamination retains molecules of hair dye inside the hair so it doesn’t wash
out. Besides, laminated hair doesn’t electrify. This is especially
important during winter time when our clothes contain a lot of synthetic
material.
Contra-indications
This procedure has no particular
contra-indications. Gelatin is absolutely safe, harmless and hypoallergenic.
After lamination you can continue
your usual hair care. But you have to give up deep cleansing shampoo and
peelings.
You can make lamination after perm. But you have to
keep in mind that weak lock can loose its shape because after lamination hair
acquires weight and volume.
You don’t need to use flat irons
because hair becomes heavier and thicker.
The only hair type which doesn’t
need lamination is asian hair– it is thick, dense and heavy enough.
Protective film doesn’t deprive hair of ability to
breathe.
More frequent hair lamination won’t give your hair maximal thickening.
Hair lamination is not a treatment procedure. This is
not a panacea but an effective
hair care if used properly. If
your hair is traumatized, thin, or overdryed, it is useful to perform a medical and reconstructive procedure at first (nourishing mask or a moisturizing
conditioner) and only after that you can use lamination. Hair lamination bears a strong resemblance to paper
lamination. If the paper is crumpled, lamination won’t smooth it out. The
protective film on hair doesn’t change its structure but only covers it with glossy shiny film. Abiding the rules, lamination can give you a splendid effect of healthy
hair which will attract attention
and rapturous looks of the people around you.
You will need:
1. gelatin – 1 tablespoon
2. hot water – 3 tablespoons
3. hair balsam – ½ tablespoon
Mix 1 tablespoon of gelatin with 3 tablespoons of hot water. Stir
it thoroughly until it dissolves completely. While the mixture is cooling down,
wash your hair and apply your favourite mask/balsam. Then wash it away and dry
your hair (with a towel). Add any mask/balsam to gelatin, stir it thoroughly and
apply it to your hair (leave 2 centimeters at the hairroot). Put on a shower cap and wrap your head in a towel for 45
minutes. Then wash it away.
Advice
1. If you have clods in the gelatin, just put it in the water bath or in the microwave.
2. If you don’t add gelatin into hair
balsam, you will have difficulties washing it away. Don’t use too much balsam. Start with ½ tablespoon of
balsam.
